Your puzzles are personal. This page explains what stays on your device, what optional services process, and the controls you have.
Who operates Star Grid
Star Grid: Logic Puzzle is developed and operated by Anand Sharma. For support or privacy requests, email anand14sk@gmail.com. This policy covers the Star Grid iPhone and iPad app and this website.
Game data stays on your device
Star Grid stores puzzle progress, settings, statistics, daily constellations, play timestamps, streaks and freezes, reminder preferences, hint balance, and a cached Pro entitlement on your device. There is no game account, app-owned game backend, or app analytics service. The app does not synchronize game saves or your Sky Map between devices. The optional Home Screen widget reads a limited daily puzzle and status snapshot through an Apple App Group.
Advertising and consent
The free app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform. Placements include a home-screen banner, an interstitial when leaving the results of a newly solved puzzle, and an optional rewarded ad for one hint. Pro players are not shown ads. Consent is requested where required before ads are requested, and Apple’s tracking permission is requested when applicable. If tracking permission is denied, the app requests non-personalized ads.
Google may process device identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location, ad and app interactions, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, security, measurement, and operation. Non-personalized ads may still process data for these purposes. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures. You can revisit available ad-consent choices in Star Grid under Settings → Manage ad consent, and change tracking permission in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Apple processes the optional Pro purchase through StoreKit. Star Grid verifies Apple’s transaction results and keeps a local entitlement cache so purchased features remain available offline. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple handles payment and transaction data under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Optional Game Center
When you permit Game Center, the app can submit your daily completion time, best streak, and earned achievement IDs to Apple’s Game Center. The app does not store a Game Center player identifier, name, avatar, or friends list. Local puzzles and rewards remain available without Game Center. See Apple’s Game Center privacy information.
Reminders, sharing, and challenge links
Reminders are optional and scheduled locally, without an app-owned push server or push token. The app may suggest a reminder time using play timestamps stored on your device. You can disable reminders in the app or iOS Settings.
If you choose to share, the system share sheet sends your selected card or challenge link to the destination you choose. Cards can include a constellation, date or puzzle number, solve time, hint count, and streak. Challenge links include puzzle data and a target time without a game-account identifier. The recipient or service you choose controls its own handling of shared content.
Retention and deletion
Local game data remains on your device until the app is deleted or the device’s data is otherwise removed, subject to Apple backup and restore behavior. We cannot access or delete your local saves remotely. Apple and Google retain the data they process according to their own policies and your settings with them. If you contact us, your message and contact details are used to handle your request and retained as needed to resolve it and meet applicable obligations.
This website
This website does not embed advertising, install optional analytics, or ask you to create an account. It is delivered through hosting and network services provided by OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, which may process IP addresses, browser and request information, and operational logs to deliver and secure the site. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information we hold, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the email above to make a request. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw consent through the available app or platform controls. For data held by Apple or Google, their account and privacy tools also apply. You may contact your local privacy regulator about a concern.
Parents and guardians
If you have a question or concern about a child’s use of Star Grid or the information involved, contact us. Device-level parental controls and Apple’s purchase restrictions can help manage access and purchases.
